Urgent notice about health kits for LWR
Thousands
of women are currently involved in Lutheran World Relief's Parish Projects
program, providing support for refugees and victims of disaster worldwide. Your
work is very much appreciated.
Here's an alert you need to know about: In response to a U.S. Food
and Drug Administration recall notice on potentially contaminated
toothpaste, LWR has changed its content and process related to health kits. Read more about this issue in LWR's
news release and see the revised list of contents
for health kits before continuing your support
of this project.
In addition to continuing your fine support for our partner Lutheran World
Relief, consider one or more of the other areas to get involved at left.
Because our mission statement calls us to
bold action,
please do two things
when you become
involved:
- Click on the “my response” button
and let us know if and how you are already involved or plan to become involved.
- Tell us what you are doing, whether
individually or as a group or unit. We like well-written human-interest
stories that include goals and outcomes, and digital photos (with permissions
for use and name of photographer). Be sure to also provide the contact information
(name, address, phone, e-mail address) of the person whom we may reach for further
